The issue of women of Street is one of the most important social harms in the society that is rarely talked about But what is important is that as a social pain, we must seek a cure.
The phenomenon of women of Street is present in all societies and unfortunately this phenomenon is emerging expandingly in our society as well Studies show that the age of prostitution is reduced to 10 years, and young girls who have just entered the job makeup a large portion of the population.
The phenomenon of street women is the result of the escape of girls and women from the family, and the main cause of these escapes is various disorders of family life, and these disorders are more than just economic issues. It seems that women’s poverty and inability to provide the basic necessities of life, divorce, domestic violence and family
disorders, forced marriage and men’s disloyalty, illiteracy, addiction, as well as emotional and emotional gaps, Low level of awareness, lack of personality development and personality disorders are the most important factors that cause this phenomenon.
The issue of women of street is not limited to a specific time and place. It should be noted that there is no specific institution in the country that examines the problems of women of street. As a result, there are no reliable statistics to solve this problem. This leads to inventing unrealistic and exaggerated statistics by some experts. Therefore, due to the lack of accurate statistics, most of the projects presented by the state Welfare Organization regarding organization of this
group of women have failed due to the non-acceptance of the community and officials, and in this regard, only positive
culture building can be helpful.
This famous saying that a woman of street won’t end up in the street confirms the above-mentioned issue. In fact, there should be a seeker so that women have something to offer. So, in this regard men are also deserved to be blamed.
Street walking is a form of sexual harassment, and no woman is content to be a prostitute, but she does it out of necessity. In many cases, they are also victims of physical violence. They have been physically abused by the customer and even got killed.
There is also a significant relationship between drug abuse and prostitution. Prostitutes often resort to drugs and psychotropic substances to cope with depression and difficult situations. In most cases, the couple (prostitute and her partner) are addicted to drugs, and their daily need to provide these drugs intensify their poverty and financial need.
Sometimes these people are unaware of the threats to their life. Therefore, after entering this cycle, they are exposed to other harms, such as drug addiction, AIDS, violence and unprotected sexual intercourse. Continuation of this process leads to a larger problem called sexual addiction, which must be solved by appropriate psycho therapies.
Women of street, like addicts, are not criminals, they are sick. The majority of these women are patients produced by poor social and economic functioning; To treat this disease, reactionary measures only will not be effective, but the causes and roots of the problem must be discovered and addressed.
In fact, examining the situation of these people and elaborating on the reasons for the tendency of some women to leave family requires the cooperation of all government agencies related to this issue.
These women believe that after falling into this vicious cycle it is not possible to get out of this mire. Therefore, it is better to provide a place of counseling for these people so that they can change their beliefs and return to the community. At first Some of these people have no idea what dangerous consequences are waiting for them. In these counseling centers, the consequences of such a decision as well as the various diseases that are likely to affect them, should be explained to these women. The government should provide funding for these women so that poverty does not force them to show such a reaction.
Legally speaking, a woman must be protected before she become a street walker. Punishment alone does not prevent the future crimes, because prevention is not limited to punishment. Unfortunately, from a legal point of view, we do not have a law concerning specifically these women, and what is certain is that the country needs to pass special and transparent laws and start the activities of specialized support associations in relation to this class of society. Of course, the existence of such a legal protection for this group does not mean that prostitutes should be validated.
Finally, given the important issue that these women are not criminals and should be treated as a social patient, it seems that the most important solution and suggestion needed to solve this social problem is to solve the problem of youth unemployment and marriage. Paying attention to the violence against women and girls in the family, increasing social vitality and cultural and educational programs for people’s leisure especially girls and women, holding appropriate and desirable training classes for girls to provide the necessary information in order to prevent these social harms are some solutions proven to be effective.
